2.Data Storage

Humans has been trying to store data since time immemorial. Cave people used cave walls to draw hunts. They could then recount these back to their children and grand children and so on. This way of storage was difficult to write, easy to refer back and difficult to change, very difficult to share.

Then came the clay tablets. Easy to write, easy to read, little easier to share but again difficult to change.

Next thing paper. Easy to write, easy to read, easy to share, easier to change as compare to clay tablets and cave paintings.

With advent of computers came magnetic storage. Now information was easy to store, easy to retrieve, easy to share and easy to change. With growth in volume of data a proper way to store data was sought. Soon Database was invented to solve this problem.
