Clear Cache in Drupal 5

Problem : How to clear cache in Drupal 5.

Answer: Drupal 6 comes with inbuilt link to clear cache. But there is no such link provided in Drupal 5. To clear cache in Drupal 5 do the following:

  1. Create a role "admin" using User Management.
  2. Assign this role to the user you want to use to clear cache.
  3. Create a menu called "Admin Scripts".
  4. Choose to display the menu in left or right side bar.
  5. Click on "Configure" next to the name of the block in Operations column.
  6. Choose to show the block only for admin role.
  7. Create a page with input type php and past the code below.
  8. Do not publish this page. This ensure that only admin role has access to this page. You don't want any other users clearing the cache.
